It pains me to hear stuff like this being a citizen of Canada myself.... how is it right for a girl to marry a 60 year old without her concern and not marry someone she loves and will stay happy with . where in the guru granth shaib doe sit say that this is a disgrace for the family and should not be done!? this is all very disheartening and the canadian goverment if not doing anything else should atleast arrest and charge her uncle and her mother for conspiracy to murder and plotting the whole thing!

There is no honour in any killing and the cowardice behind this murder is beyond shameful. I can't imagine the terror Jassi experienced in her final moments knowing it was her mother that had ultimately given the kill order. And the emotional devestation, brutality and terror that Mithu has had to endure since is heartbreaking. Extradite those involved and get them off Canadian soil. Scum!

It makes me sick how people can be this cruel. Just because a person is from a lower caste than you that doesn't mean that you're better than them. The concept of castes is stupid overall I believe. What was done to this young innocent woman is distgusting and I strongly believe her mother and uncle should be punished for the crime they had planned and acted upon. Karma does come around and surely one day justice will be served. Also the Canadian government shouldn't be ignoring cases like these because this is a big issue in out society. Honour killings have taken away people's lives and destroyed families, we should take action against this type of behaviour! It is not acceptable to let criminals walk around freely. Also a innocent personbeing punished is ridicolous! Justice needs to be served.
